Electric Motor Supply, Inc. was founded in 1948 to provide industries in our area with a dependable electric motor repair and rebuilding service. Today, 50+ years later, we have grown into a modern sales and service oriented organization serving a broad customer base with a wide variety of goods and services.

   While we still specialize in industrial electric motor sales and service, we now stock and service a wide range of related products such as motor controls, variable speed drives, electric hoist, air compressors, pumps and much, much more. We represent and distribute  major lines of electrical equipment.

   Our beginning was in Webb City. in 1955 the company moved to Joplin, with the new company name of Electric Motor Supply Inc. There it remained until the fall of 1980 when we moved into a modern new facility at 2301 W. 20^th Street, Joplin Missouri. This move was made possible with the help of Industrial Revenue Bonds from Joplin Industrial Development Authority.

   Through the years, our success and growth have been built on providing our customers with two kinds of service. The first is providing expert electrical repair service. The second is customer service. We work with our customers night and day to stay within deadlines, solve emergencies and keep downtime to an absolute minimum. We know that our customer’s operation may come to a complete and costly halt anytime they have electrical equipment failure. We have committed out staff and facilities to the repair or replacement of that vital equipment.
